<br />
I'm really excited to share a sneak peek at a Bridal Shower Invite I'm working on. My cousin is getting married and my family will be hosting her Bridal Shower. Of course, pre-made invites are not allowed at this event; un-heard of! LOL! My brother and I have put our heads together and come up with this layout. I think it's great and captures the theme well!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dMEAflOFxEM/UB3hiSWrb4I/AAAAAAAAAWk/0br7G0GI-rI/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dMEAflOFxEM/UB3hiSWrb4I/AAAAAAAAAWk/0br7G0GI-rI/s320/photo+2.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The invite is a 5X6.5 card front. I used 2 Cricut cartridges; Lacy Labels and Sweethearts. The bride is cut out on velvet paper. Pearl, gem stone, and floral embellishments were used. The frame around the bride is glitter paper. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4XYMGyQD1Ro/UB3hnj9oN8I/AAAAAAAAAWs/rdyDCpwZtvU/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4XYMGyQD1Ro/UB3hnj9oN8I/AAAAAAAAAWs/rdyDCpwZtvU/s320/photo+3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0eVTG1Dy-Eo/UB3hc4Yt-iI/AAAAAAAAAWc/VHqJ-1FBQMQ/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0eVTG1Dy-Eo/UB3hc4Yt-iI/AAAAAAAAAWc/VHqJ-1FBQMQ/s320/photo+1.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Now it's time to work on the back of the invite. Guess we should include the when and where?! <br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting!<br />

Good Evening Fellow Crafters (and to those who happened to stumble on my blog in a random google search). ;)<br />
<br />
A couple weeks ago, I needed a card for a teacher friend and didn't have any pre-made; so I was flipping through my Cricut Magazines for inspiration and found one. I ended up using "Kate's ABC" cartridge; and what I thought was going to be a quick card, I realized this isn't going to be one. LOL!<br />
<br />
Here is the finished product...<br />

</div>
Good evening fellow crafters and/or random person (who happened to stumble upon my blog)! ;)<br />
<br />
When looking at a calendar and taking note of the holidays and special occasions, there are several holidays that focus on appreciation for America and those who have served in our military. When I was making my wreath, I wanted to be able to use it more than once a year; so when deciding on the images I kept that thought in mind. Here is my finished project...<br />

Every so many months they come out with special issues; "Cricut Birthdays" and "Cricut Cards." These magazines has opened my creative mind to new ideas and inspiration. I was inspired to make this card after seeing it in the "Cricut Cards" issue; by <a href="http://www.stephaniescraps.blogspot.com/">Stephanie Ackerman</a>. When you can; go check out her work! :)<br />

<br />
This is just a quick note to pass along some info about a pretty spectacular give-away happening. I mentioned it a couple times before, about supporting others and here I am practicing what I preach. :) <br />
<br />
Terri over at <a href="http://www.twopinkpeas.blogspot.com/">Two Pink Peas</a> is having a give away in honor of her Dad and Father's Day. There are a couple requirements to be eligible for the give-away...but it's all simple things. Here's the direct link: <a href="http://twopinkpeas.blogspot.com/2011/06/two-pink-peas-huge-blog-candy-giveaway.html">http://twopinkpeas.blogspot.com/2011/06/two-pink-peas-huge-blog-candy-giveaway.html</a><br />
<br />
Good Luck! :)<br />

<br />
Welcome to Kassidy's Month Long Birthday Bash!<br />
<br />
Kassidy over at <a href="http://www.inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com/">Inking It Up</a> is celebrating her birthday for the month of June. She has invited several guest to help design projects using her favorite items and themes. At the end of the post, head on over to her blog for a chance to enter for giveaways. :)<br />
<br />
My theme for Kassidy's Birthday Bash is patriotic. I've been wanting to create something using my Grandfather's Army photos from when he was in the Service during WWII.<br />

As I "try" to do for most b'days, I make my cards. Here is the card I made for my brother.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TBoldWj7rlg/Tfg4ZIw9jQI/AAAAAAAAAMk/chjuCwCm0B4/s1600/IMAG0384.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TBoldWj7rlg/Tfg4ZIw9jQI/AAAAAAAAAMk/chjuCwCm0B4/s320/IMAG0384.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> The paper is Recollections (silver) and pattern paper and letter stickers are from DCWV "The Immortal Love Kit."</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T-HeYyGnnTs/Tfg4cT22TYI/AAAAAAAAAMo/1e9Y2g10rw0/s1600/IMAG0385.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T-HeYyGnnTs/Tfg4cT22TYI/AAAAAAAAAMo/1e9Y2g10rw0/s320/IMAG0385.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">The crown is from Me & My Big Ideas sticker pack. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ImMb5UIvE7Q/Tfg4fJKfkWI/AAAAAAAAAMs/aTCHShhVHHA/s1600/IMAG0386.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ImMb5UIvE7Q/Tfg4fJKfkWI/AAAAAAAAAMs/aTCHShhVHHA/s320/IMAG0386.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">I used Stickles on the pattern paper as well as on the crown to add a little bling. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8iT-ehpgX10/Tfg4hoExO5I/AAAAAAAAAMw/NNMCGDLR21M/s1600/IMAG0388.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8iT-ehpgX10/Tfg4hoExO5I/AAAAAAAAAMw/NNMCGDLR21M/s320/IMAG0388.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">The photo corner stickers and vellum is from DCWV "The Immortal Love Kit." </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7jvlsyhrczU/Tfg4kGdbJ1I/AAAAAAAAAM0/OuK2JpRI7Fg/s1600/IMAG0390.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7jvlsyhrczU/Tfg4kGdbJ1I/AAAAAAAAAM0/OuK2JpRI7Fg/s320/IMAG0390.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Silver paper is Recollections. Made the envelope with Martha Stewart scoring board. Used the Cricut cartridge Quarter Note and used my Gypsy to weld the letters together. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bsBxugJdZ0I/Tfg4meBkPlI/AAAAAAAAAM4/UW-STwosivU/s1600/IMAG0391.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bsBxugJdZ0I/Tfg4meBkPlI/AAAAAAAAAM4/UW-STwosivU/s320/IMAG0391.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">The crown was cut from Cricut Cart "Indie Art." Note, I realized after putting the crown on that it should be on the top flap; can't see it when envelope is closed. ;)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Wishing my bro a Happy "35th" Birthday...again. ;)</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

<div><br />
</div><div>I wanted to share a quick craft I did with one of the children I take care of (I'm an Au Pair). Normally, the child is not big on making/doing crafts (I know...shocking; right?!) but he's starting to think that between workbook/lessons or doing crafts; crafts is not that bad. LOL He is also a huge aviation fan so we used my Cricut to cut out planes, jets, helicopters to make pin wheel boutiques. I think these turned out too cute! </div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_f-8gVZq4Rw/TdWomtQzt_I/AAAAAAAAAMI/BeI5B_HEGK4/s1600/IMAG0320.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_f-8gVZq4Rw/TdWomtQzt_I/AAAAAAAAAMI/BeI5B_HEGK4/s320/IMAG0320.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Cricut cartridge used was Stand & Salute. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uLvBgVNbBr8/TdWorKLXlCI/AAAAAAAAAMM/3-SerhKPbcs/s1600/IMAG0321.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uLvBgVNbBr8/TdWorKLXlCI/AAAAAAAAAMM/3-SerhKPbcs/s320/IMAG0321.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">White card stock cut at 5 1/2" squares and used Stampin Up Classic Stars jumbo wheel inked in Yoyo Yellow. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lN1w2Befdgo/TdWozgB2YII/AAAAAAAAAMQ/fwYqfk-5Bcc/s1600/IMAG0322.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lN1w2Befdgo/TdWozgB2YII/AAAAAAAAAMQ/fwYqfk-5Bcc/s320/IMAG0322.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Cut all 4 corners to the middle and folded every other side. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x7-vtV6NdmI/TdWo4vQ5UwI/AAAAAAAAAMU/GflUi3875S4/s1600/IMAG0323.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x7-vtV6NdmI/TdWo4vQ5UwI/AAAAAAAAAMU/GflUi3875S4/s320/IMAG0323.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Fastened all together with a good ol fashion brass plated fastners. I used straws to fasten the pin wheel to. The little guy wanted to use flags to decorate the planes.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">On to other news...a friend of mine; Patty at <a href="http://www.creativediva98.blogspot.com/">Creative Diva</a> awarded me the CRICUT-TASTIC AWARD.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lI_WIwkHNLU/Tc3KpWmlNZI/AAAAAAAAAoM/JrP-KJDFm4U/s1600/cricuttasticaward%255B1%255D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lI_WIwkHNLU/Tc3KpWmlNZI/AAAAAAAAAoM/JrP-KJDFm4U/s1600/cricuttasticaward%255B1%255D.jpg" /></a></div><br />
The info about this award is pretty basic...a blog is deemed CRICUT-TASTIC! Wear this badge proudly on your blog and share it with other friends. The award-ie needs to pass this award onto 10 other people who they think have a CRICUT-TASTIC blog. The award-ie, also needs to share 5 CRICUT related things about self.<br />

<br />
<ol><li>As a 31st birthday present to myself (September 2010), I bought the Cricut Expression.</li>
<li>I've been good at purchasing cartridges when on sale; never full price ($80 plus). - YIKES! ;)</li>
<li>The majority of my projects, cards, scrap albums all involve me using the Cricut; somehow. </li>
<li>Went to my first scrapbook expo and purchased the Gypsy back in February 2011.</li>
<li>I think whatever I am working on, using the Cricut and cartridges; add a whole new life to the project.</li>

I take A LOT of time into planning layout, colors, and such; only to have the final product be pretty simple. Did any of that make sense?! LOL!<br />
<br />
Anyway...this was (unfortunately) my final challenge I was able to submit for National Scrapbook Day over at <a href="http://www.mypinkstamper.com/">My Pink Stamper</a>. I completed a total of 6; which is half. I hate defeat but according to time on clock and my "day" job, I have to wave white flag. :( Errrrrrr!<br />
<br />
On that note...<a href="http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-6.html">Challenge 6</a> had one specific request...Incorporate a TAG into your project.<br />
<br />
Given the recent News about "Public Enemy #1" and reading the theme for this challenge; I thought my layout was fitting. Hope you enjoy it as well! :)<br />

The challenge was to make something with a MOTHER'S DAY theme. :)<br />

I however do not have Kraft cardstock (hear the jaws dropping...LOL) so I moved on to the 3rd challenge. :)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-3.html">The 3rd challenge</a> was to make card, scrap page, or 3D object using BREAST CANCER for the theme. <br />
<br />
I am proud of this card. It was my first time making a side step card. This took me a couple of times to get right; but the final outcome ROCKS; in my humble opinion. ;)<br />

<br />
It's been a while since I have posted new work; so with this past Saturday's National Scrapbook Day, I thought participating over at <a href="http://www.mypinkstamper.com/">My Pink Stamper's 12 Challenges</a> would be a great way to get back into blogging/sharing. :)<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-1.html">first challenge</a> was to create a card, scrapbook page, or 3D item with the theme of CUPCAKES. This project took me longer than expected; the lace and I were not getting along. LOL My little cupcake can be used as decoration or can even be a party favor box.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wix2B0dfJfM/Tcg9g3Hn8WI/AAAAAAAAAKA/_A2ElX1LVgQ/s1600/IMG_4014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wix2B0dfJfM/Tcg9g3Hn8WI/AAAAAAAAAKA/_A2ElX1LVgQ/s320/IMG_4014.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> The Cricut cartridge I used was: Sweet Treats.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GLD0o1ADVRY/Tcg9qF84z4I/AAAAAAAAAKE/nijl2vv97Oc/s1600/IMG_4015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GLD0o1ADVRY/Tcg9qF84z4I/AAAAAAAAAKE/nijl2vv97Oc/s320/IMG_4015.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">I used lace and Stickles.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bz5BUmNqkrw/Tcg9zYd2rFI/AAAAAAAAAKI/QWC4U5guZYQ/s1600/IMG_4016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bz5BUmNqkrw/Tcg9zYd2rFI/AAAAAAAAAKI/QWC4U5guZYQ/s320/IMG_4016.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">The paper I used was from a retired stack of designer paper from Stampin Up!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
It's Wednesday; "hump" day and a day closer to the weekend. Who's ready to get their craft on?! ;)<br />
<br />
First off, I would like to say WELCOME to my new friends/followers here on my blog. I hope you enjoyed the MS Blog Hop and I wanted to thank you for joining my blog. I appreciate all the wonderful comments! :) I'd also like to extend a thank you to <a href="http://www.fancyframework.com/">Linda (Fancy Framework)</a>, for inviting me to participate in this Hop and for a good cause. Speaking of good cause, Linda was able to raise $125 for the <a href="http://www.nationalmssociety.org/">National MS Society</a> during the MS Blog Hop! :) Congrats GIRL! :)<br />
<br />
<span style="color: lime;">UPDATE: The first winner of the blog candy has graciously declined the award because she was one of the designers for the blog hop; and I didn't realize it either. So...I did the drawing again...and...</span><br />
<br />
Now...the winner for the MS Blog Hop Candy...1 brand new pack of Personal Cricut Cutting Mats<br />

<br />
How are my creative friends? :)<br />
<br />
I wanted to share that I went to my first Scrapbook Expo this past weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center. Spent close to 8 hrs there and saw a lot of cool things that every paper crafter would love to have in their supplies. I left there with a few goodies...the big one...the Gypsy! I've spent the last two days getting acquainted with my Gypsy and now understand why other's rave about it. ;) <br />
<br />
My first big project I'm using the Gypsy for is for a blog hop my friend (Linda at <a href="http://www.fancyframework.com/">Fancy Framework</a>)is hosting; and for a good cause. <br />
<br />

<br />
As you may or may not know...Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic but disabling disease, which affects different people in different ways. People are dedicated to helping find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis--which the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has actually made BIG steps towards in 2010. If you would like to find out more about MS, please visit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.<br />
<br />
The blog hop will start THIS Friday, March 4th - Sunday, March 6th. There are lots of creative ladies participating in this hop; and what's a hop w/out blog candy. ;) Come join us THIS Friday starting at blog...<a href="http://www.fancyframework.com/">Fancy Framework</a><br />
<br />
Lastly...I would like to extend a big thank you and appreciation to <a href="http://scrappybeads.blogspot.com/">Deborah</a> for giving me a BLOG AWARD.<br />

<br />
It's Wednesday and I have finally finished <a href="http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/02/lets-face-it-friday-altered-card.html">PKS Face Challenge</a> . <br />
<br />
I'm not sure why, but I'm having difficult time matching colors or it seems that I'm second guessing myself when it comes to picking colors; perhaps thinking too hard/much about it. Who knows?! I bought myself a color wheel; so...we'll see how that works. Does anybody use those? What do you think? Helpful?<br />
<br />
I liked the mailbox idea and was fortunate enough to find them at Target (like the design team girls mentioned) in the $1 bins. They had three different colors and I couldn't decide what one...so what's a crafter gal to do? Pick two of each color! ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5vDzeEYKt34/TVLSvZlnpqI/AAAAAAAAAIE/HRoweYY2PyM/s1600/IMAG0201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5vDzeEYKt34/TVLSvZlnpqI/AAAAAAAAAIE/HRoweYY2PyM/s320/IMAG0201.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
The face challenge was to create an altered container using PKS faces to store Valentines or cards you receive throughout the year.<br />
<br />
And...here is the finished look:<br />
<br />
