PKS "Face" Challenge: X's and O's

Good Evening!

Hope all had a wonderful weekend.

Here is a simple Valentine card I'm submitting for a Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge.  The guidelines for this challenge were pretty simple: create a Peachified Valentine using X's & O's somewhere on project.  X's & O's don't have to be the main focus on the project; but should be the evident theme of the project.

I was excited for this project because this was my first time using my new stamps from Peachy Keen.  :)

"Puppy Love"

Paw prints stamped and two hearts w/an O & X

For "bows": X & O

Recipe:
** PKS: 754-Critter Faces (medium)
** Hero Arts Stamp: I Love My Dog
** Cricut Cartridge: Create-A-Critter
** Stampin Up Ink: Pretty In Pink and Basic Black
** Stampin Up Cardstock: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Pretty In Pink
** The Paper Company: White
** Wal-Mart: Valentine Paper Pack
** Stampin Up Punches: Heart to Heart, Corner Rounder
** Adhesive: SNAIL and 3D-Dots (EK Success)
** Stickles: Xmas Red
** Gold Glitter Alphabet Stickers came from Michael's; but I don't remember who the maker is.

Thank you for visiting!  :)

Blog Award!

Good Morning, again!  :)

Well...I share some exciting news...last night before going to bed I received a message from Gloria saying she is awarding me the "Stylish Blogger Award!"

I will admit...I was clapping and smiling like a little girl on Christmas morning when I saw this.  :D

There are a few guidelines when receiving this award.  Upon receiving this award I must thank the person and link it back to their blog, pass the award on to 8 individuals (blogs) that you recently discovered, inform all the new recipients of their award, and share 8 things about myself.

I promise this won't be a drawn out "Oscar" speech.  LOL!  ;)

First and foremost...I need to say THANK YOU to Gloria who awarded me.  I truly appreciate that you see something in my work and that you felt you could pass this award onto me.  THANK YOU!

I would like to pass this fun award and recognize these 8 individuals.  I have to say...it is not easy to choose because each and every one of us are talented and creative in this paper craft that we enjoy.  This is in no particular order.

2. Linda - Fancy Framework
4.  Norma - PinkBlingCrafter
5.  Karlee - Karlee Krafts
6.  Carina - Paper Junkie
7.  Michelle Lee - Meesh's Pieces
8.  Jacqueline - My Paper Moose

To end this post...here are 8 things about myself.  Don't worry...I won't quiz you.  ;)

1.  I have a  ‘guilty’ indulgence for overpriced coffee: Starbucks, Coffee Bean, etc.
2.  I have been paper crafting for 7 years and still enjoy it tremendously.  I hope to make a career out of it.
3.  This past September, as a 31st birthday (HOLY CAT BALLS...did I just admit that?!  LOL) present to myself, I bought the Cricut Expression; and have not had any regrets!
4.  I have a slight obsession and strong passion to travel to Europe (mainly: France, England, and Italy).
5.  I am an animal lover.  My two dogs mean the world to me.
6.  I have one older sibling who is the pain in my ass that is my best friend who happens to be in the form of a brother.
7.  I have been a Type 1 diabetic for 23 years.
8.  I live by the old saying "Treat people the way I want to be treated."  With that said...I like to meet new people.  So...don't be shy...let's chat!  :)

"Happy Birthday Luv" Card

Good Morning To All!

It's finally Friday and that means the whole weekend to "play."  What I mean by play is for all of us who enjoy this hobby and what I like to call art (as well), we get the weekend to create our projects and learn from others on our blogs.  Hence..."play time."  :)

Anyway...last night, I put together a quick card which I am calling it "Happy Birthday Luv."

I used pop up glue dots to raise the heart.

And...again here, used the pop glue dots to raise the heart.  I actually layered the heart here.

Recipe:
** Stampin Up Card stock: Confetti White and Real Red
** Bazzill Basics Paper: Mocha Divine
** Me&My Big Ideas Paper: High Gloss Pink Paper (I don't know the specific name of paper).
** Recollections Card stock: Metallic Shimmer White
** Stickles: Pink and Red
** Sequins: From Joann's Craft Store
** Adhesive: SNAIL, ZIG 2 Way Glue, and 3D-Dots (EK Success)

Thank you for viewing!  :)
Now...it's back to my day job.

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challenge

Bonjour!

So...My Pink Stamper (Robyn) had a Blog Hop on Friday night and a challenge at the end of the 'hop.  Challenge was to design a card, scrapbook page, or something fun (project) using My Pink Stamper stamp set or the color pink.  Looking at the submissions so far...there are a lot of talented ladies that are filled with inspiration and I look forward to learning more.

With that said...I decided to make a card this time around and I kept it simple.  The theme/inspiration of this card came from my interest in Paris, France and the French culture.  :)

Recipe:
** Card stock: K&Company  Lovely Design Paper Pad, Bazzill Basic Paper Cream Color, Stampin Up Confetti White and Going Grey, and Textured red stock I don't remember who the company is.
** Cricut Cartridge: Summer in Paris and Hannah Montana
** SNAIL Adhesive
** ZIG 2 Way Glue
** Recollections: Valentine's Sticker
** Stickles: Xmas Red

Thanks for stopping by!
Au Revoir!  ;)

The two pages together.

~ Stampin Up punch: Eyelet Boarder
~ Marcel Schurman Collection: purse and shoe stickers

Tree Trimming

Hoildays have come to a close and so along with putting the house decorations away, the holiday scrapping supplies are tucked away as well.  But first...wanted to finish this page.  LOL!

I gave my Cricut a rest, and instead pulled out my Sizzix Big Shot machine and used texture background plates.
