PKS Face Challenge: Card Storage

Hello...Hello...Hello!

It's Wednesday and I have finally finished PKS Face Challenge .

I'm not sure why, but I'm having difficult time matching colors or it seems that I'm second guessing myself when it comes to picking colors; perhaps thinking too hard/much about it.  Who knows?!  I bought myself a color wheel; so...we'll see how that works.  Does anybody use those?  What do you think?  Helpful?

I liked the mailbox idea and was fortunate enough to find them at Target (like the design team girls mentioned) in the $1 bins.  They had three different colors and I couldn't decide what one...so what's a crafter gal to do?  Pick two of each color!  ;)

The face challenge was to create an altered container using PKS faces to store Valentines or cards you receive throughout the year.

And...here is the finished look:

Recipe:
  • Cricut cartridge: Hannah Montana and Quarter Note
  • Designer Paper: K&Company "Lovely"
  • Card stock: Stampin Up "Real Red", "Regal Rose", "Basic Black", and "Whisper White"
  • PKS 490: Everyday Character Face Assortment
  • PKS: White Gel Pen
  • My Pink Stamper: Family and Friends
  • Red grosgrain ribbon
  • Adhesive and pop-up dots
  • Mail box: Target

I liked how this turned out and I'm going to turn this into a card.  I can bust out a dozen by Monday!  hehe!  ;)

Thank you for visiting!  :)

PKS: Monochromatic Sketch Challenge

Evening All...

Here is my submission for Peachy Keen Stamps and the challenge was to create a card or layout based on the sketch given and through in a twist.  The twist was to use a monochromatic color scheme.  For those who are wondering what is monochromatic...the use of tints and shades of the same color.

The color I chose were shades of green and was excited to use my new Cricut cartridge: Paper Doll Dress Up.  I have to admit...Paper Doll Dress Up is a lot of fun to use.  :)

Here's my creation...

Mr. Leprechaun walking down the road to his pot of gold.  ;)

Used gold Stickles in the center of flowers.

I had a lot of fun creating this little guy.

The shamrocks have light green sequins with stickles in the center.
A look down the road.  ;)

Recipe:
  • PKS 490 - Everyday Character Faces
  • PKS - white gel pen
  • Stampin Up Ink Pad: Basic Black
  • Cricut cartridges: Paper Doll Dress Up and Plantin School Book
  • Stickles
  • Iced Got Flowers: Limeade
  • Card stock: Bazzill Basics Paper Fundamentals (textured), Stampin Up, and Best Occasions
  • Design Paper: Provo Craft Cricut "Celebrations"
  • Sequins: from Joann's Craft Store
  • Adhesives
  • Punch Out Alphas (lettering)

I am proud of this page!  I had gone through a couple of layouts to get this one "just right."  Must be that "Irish Luck."  ;)

Thank you for visiting.
