Inking It Up Crazy Birthday Bash

Hello...Hello...Hello!

Welcome to Kassidy's Month Long Birthday Bash!

Kassidy over at Inking It Up is celebrating her birthday for the month of June.  She has invited several guest to help design projects using her favorite items and themes.  At the end of the post, head on over to her blog for a chance to enter for giveaways.  :)

My theme for Kassidy's Birthday Bash is patriotic.  I've been wanting to create something using my Grandfather's Army photos from when he was in the Service during WWII.

My Grandfather: Edward Surufka.

The bottom left photo (2 men): my Grandfather's friend Slick-o and my Grandfather.
The bottom right photo (3 men): fellow Soldiers and my Grandfather.

I used a sponge to ink the saluting Soldier.

THANK YOU PAPA!
XOXO

Recipe for "American Heros":
Cardstock - Bazzill Basics Paper
Designer Paper - Creative Imaginations
Stickers - Creative Imaginations "Patriotic"
Cartridges - Stand & Salute, Hannah Montana Font (A and H), Plantin School Book
Ink - Stampin Up "Chocolate Chip"
Markers - Sharpie Ultra Fine Point

Alright...head back on over to Kassidy's blog and enter in her giveaways; some pretty awesome items she has.  :)

PS: Happy Birthday Kassidy!!  :)

PKS Face Challenge: Card Storage

Hello...Hello...Hello!

It's Wednesday and I have finally finished PKS Face Challenge .

I'm not sure why, but I'm having difficult time matching colors or it seems that I'm second guessing myself when it comes to picking colors; perhaps thinking too hard/much about it.  Who knows?!  I bought myself a color wheel; so...we'll see how that works.  Does anybody use those?  What do you think?  Helpful?

I liked the mailbox idea and was fortunate enough to find them at Target (like the design team girls mentioned) in the $1 bins.  They had three different colors and I couldn't decide what one...so what's a crafter gal to do?  Pick two of each color!  ;)

The face challenge was to create an altered container using PKS faces to store Valentines or cards you receive throughout the year.

And...here is the finished look:

Recipe:
  • Cricut cartridge: Hannah Montana and Quarter Note
  • Designer Paper: K&Company "Lovely"
  • Card stock: Stampin Up "Real Red", "Regal Rose", "Basic Black", and "Whisper White"
  • PKS 490: Everyday Character Face Assortment
  • PKS: White Gel Pen
  • My Pink Stamper: Family and Friends
  • Red grosgrain ribbon
  • Adhesive and pop-up dots
  • Mail box: Target

I liked how this turned out and I'm going to turn this into a card.  I can bust out a dozen by Monday!  hehe!  ;)

Thank you for visiting!  :)

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challenge

Bonjour!

So...My Pink Stamper (Robyn) had a Blog Hop on Friday night and a challenge at the end of the 'hop.  Challenge was to design a card, scrapbook page, or something fun (project) using My Pink Stamper stamp set or the color pink.  Looking at the submissions so far...there are a lot of talented ladies that are filled with inspiration and I look forward to learning more.

With that said...I decided to make a card this time around and I kept it simple.  The theme/inspiration of this card came from my interest in Paris, France and the French culture.  :)

Recipe:
** Card stock: K&Company  Lovely Design Paper Pad, Bazzill Basic Paper Cream Color, Stampin Up Confetti White and Going Grey, and Textured red stock I don't remember who the company is.
** Cricut Cartridge: Summer in Paris and Hannah Montana
** SNAIL Adhesive
** ZIG 2 Way Glue
** Recollections: Valentine's Sticker
** Stickles: Xmas Red

Thanks for stopping by!
Au Revoir!  ;)
